Do you know any people who work in these occupations? Are you aware of how the stress of their job affects their personal lives?
Suggest three methods of reducing stress based on the text material.
Which of the occupations listed would you consider upon graduation? What would you discuss in a job interview to address the issue of stress in that particular occupation?

Then in a group of three or four students:

  1. Discuss the concepts of noticing, empathy, and compassion.
  2. How much do you each focus on yourselves vs. focusing on others?
  3. How often do you ask a question with the word “you” in it?
